GoBowling at The Glen gets underway Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on the historic road course at Watkins Glen. Kyle Busch is your Vegas favorite, getting 3-1 NASCAR. Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. are every 4-1, with nobody else closer than 8-1. You have to find out what Micah Roberts has to say, before you lock on your 2018 NASCAR in Watkins Glen selections.
As a Vegas bookmaker, Roberts was the first to offer expanded NASCAR. Now he hands out his followers winners.
Roberts was all over Busch last week at Pocono, pointing to not just his 26 career starts at the track, but in addition his motivation to win after a late bulge from Harvick the week before. Busch rallied in the 28th position.
Earlier this year, Roberts was all-in on Harvick at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 despite the two additional drivers using the exact same field-leading odds. The end result: Harvick dominated, leading for 181 of 325 laps and cruising to victory from 2.69 minutes.
Also this year, Roberts was high on Clint Bowyer in the STP 500, where he snapped his 190-race winless streak. And at the Food City 500, he stated Busch”possessed” Bristol and could come away with the checkered flag — he rallied to complete just .63 seconds before Kyle Larson to the checkered flag.
From the 2017 playoffs, Roberts chose nine of the 10 winners. That was no fluke he told readers to back Denny Hamlin at. The end result: Hamlin edged Truex Jr. for the checkered flag. That year, roberts also nailed Hamlin to succeed at Watkins Glen.
Now, he’s examined the 2018 GoBowling in the Glen area, NASCAR’s next road-track stop this season, from every possible angle and locked in his selections. You can see his projected leaderboard at SportsLine.
We can tell you he is not choosing Busch to win NASCAR at Watkins Glen 2018 even though four road-course wins under his belt, tops among all active drivers.
One driver Roberts is high on: Bowyer, who’s getting 12-1 chances for Watkins Glen.
